This past week we have been working on our Māori. For our create we made a comic conversation either on a google drawing or on a slideshow. I chose a slideshow. We had special kupu/words that we had to learn and memorise. We had questions that we had to add to our comic. I hope you enjoy my comic :>

 Duolingo french

Hi guys, welcome 2021! To kick this year off I started learning french!

French is a popular language and I had on my goals for the year to learn a new language. To learn french I am using an app called duolingo. Duolingo has multiple languages you can learn from. So far I have learned a few words about people like femme which means girl. There are also heaps of other things you can do, you can read a book in the language your learning to increase your vocab. 

You should check it out if your interested in learning a new language.

My maths for the week

This week we learned how to use linear scale and whole numbers of metric units for length.

We had a learn create share that helped us to put all of our learning in order. After that we made our create.

Today I am making this post about a piece of work I have done recently it is my reading. We are learning about persusive writing and we read a book and tryed to add connections in our life and key points from the story. 

Goal: Make connections between texts and real life experiences  and use prior knowledge to connect to the text.

Today I wrote a story called boa. Its based on a movie that we were supposed to write about guess which chunk of the movie I wrote about. The link to the movie is down below hope you enjoy both my writing and they video.

She patted his soft pastry head as she made dinner. Bao is growing up and he’s becoming a big boy. Bao struggles happily as he tries on his new scarlet sweater. Perfect, He places on his rectangular spectacles… He smiles and looks up at his proud mother. Her son is growing up, yes he’s growing up. She puts out her hand and her mini son quickly leaps onto it; she gently clutches her little pork bun and kisses his small forehead and squeezes his little chubby pork stuffed cheek. She picks up a peach from the veggie and fruit stand in the market and bao fastly scampers away. She manages to get a grasp of him again; she waves her pointy finger at him in disapproval.

The black lives matter movement.

Hi listner,
Since the 26 May 2020 protests  people have taken the time to think more of black people.
While some people are talking about how black lives matter and everyone is equal some people still take black people as lesser people and individuals. Though black people may seem as bad people and un-useful to the society black people have done many great things in the course of history. Take Harriet Tubman; this women saved many people from being slaves and dying in the hands of their masters. Thats one of thousands of black people in history who made sure that the generations after them would have much better lives.
What would you do if you had a opportunity to change someones life?
