My maths for the week

This week we learned how to use linear scale and whole numbers of metric units for length.

We had a learn create share that helped us to put all of our learning in order. After that we made our create.

Today I am making this post about a piece of work I have done recently it is my reading. We are learning about persusive writing and we read a book and tryed to add connections in our life and key points from the story. 

Goal: Make connections between texts and real life experiences  and use prior knowledge to connect to the text.

She patted his soft pastry head as she made dinner. Bao is growing up and he’s becoming a big boy. Bao struggles happily as he tries on his new scarlet sweater. Perfect, He places on his rectangular spectacles… He smiles and looks up at his proud mother. Her son is growing up, yes he’s growing up. She puts out her hand and her mini son quickly leaps onto it; she gently clutches her little pork bun and kisses his small forehead and squeezes his little chubby pork stuffed cheek. She picks up a peach from the veggie and fruit stand in the market and bao fastly scampers away. She manages to get a grasp of him again; she waves her pointy finger at him in disapproval.

The black lives matter movement.

Hi listner,
Since the 26 May 2020 protests  people have taken the time to think more of black people.
While some people are talking about how black lives matter and everyone is equal some people still take black people as lesser people and individuals. Though black people may seem as bad people and un-useful to the society black people have done many great things in the course of history. Take Harriet Tubman; this women saved many people from being slaves and dying in the hands of their masters. Thats one of thousands of black people in history who made sure that the generations after them would have much better lives.

INTRODUCTION

Anzac day is a historical day, a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. 1916 was the year that ANZAC day was officially named ANZAC day. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand army corps.

POPPYS 

Poppies are a symbol for anzac day. People in many countries wear poppies to  celebrate all Australians and New Zealanders (who served and died in all wars, disagreements , and diplomat operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served).The Poppy as a symbol comes from Canadian John McCrae’s WWI poem. In Flanders Fields. It was used as a symbol by the Canadians for their Remembrance Day, and has been modified as a reminder of the loss of all veterans in all wars.

ANZAC BISCUITS

Anzac biscuits have long been associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) established in World War I.

It has been claimed that the biscuits were sent by wives and women's groups to soldiers abroad because the ingredients do not spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during naval transportation.However, this information has been contradicted with the claim that Anzac biscuits were never sent to soldiers and were instead eaten by Australians and Kiwis at home in order to raise money for the war. In general, it is unclear which of these two competing claims is true. However, evidence has been found which suggests that soldiers were sent homemade biscuits during World War I, suggesting that they could likely have been sent Anzac biscuits.The simplicity of the recipe also makes them perfect for any low-tech kitchen, or for beginner bakers. All you really need is a mixing bowl, a spoon and a baking sheet and you’re only a short wait away from warm cookie heaven. What’s more, you get to enjoy the smell of these as they bake. It’s a blend of caramelising sugar, toasting oats and coconut, and browning butter, and it is completely and utterly inviting. And while you’re at it, these biscuits lend themselves beautifully to a little experimenting – some dried tropical fruit, a dunk in chocolate, or a dash of maple syrup would be perfect.So, not only are these biscuits named in honour of a group of soldiers that helped form the national spirit of two countries, they’ve also become an unforgettable part of early life for many Australian and New Zealand bakers.

A  unicorn on my lawn

Morning mom I wake up with a big smile ready to start the day everyone is smiling
and I shout out hooray so far the day is going great I look out the window and i almost
faint i see a pink fluffy unicorn omg i squeal this is totally great i go outside to see what
going on and behind it are a gazillion more the one at the front is their teacher and all the
little baby corn are the students ahhhh so cute i say they all line up and the teacher takes the
role fluffy yes sparkly yes spark here glitz yah pinkie ya molly here glitter here ….. A-lly
a-lly  a-lly there was a little one fast asleep on my feet can i keep her can i please okay then
sign this form this is going to be so much fun.

All about ally  

Ally is a little white unicorn with a pink main 

Ally eat rainbow pancakes and pink cola 

Ally favorite sport is blupo

She can change colors and camouflage

She loves cooking and her favorite thing to cook is pastel blue cupcakes

Okay I say as I fill out the form I grin knowing that in a few minutes i’m going to
have my very own unicorn yeah yeah yeah I do my happy dance in my mind so I
don't embrace myself.  The teacher follows me to my room she puts ally's bed in a
position and a little bath and a makeup stand and she also puts a dress up box and a
little shell with balls in it where she can play  my room was packed with with unicorn
toys clothes and hygiene tools treats to ally walks into the room slowly hi ally I say hello
she says back in a sleepy voice I am going to be your owner she smiles when she see the
treats mmm the teacher runs over some strict rules you must not give her treats
unless she’s been good okay I can't wait to start with my unicorn what will you do with your unicorn.

arrive at Nikita house and knock on her
window knock knock she manages to mumble
whos there and we both say your friends
she open the door and joins us in the rocket

pick a book we all start talking

the road is called wish pond road it's

a wish pond you can make a wish and it
might come true Mallorys
made a wish and it came true I pull
together the courage and knock
on Mallory's door instead max opens

hears her name she rushes to the door

where we will be staying for a week first
step of our mission is to paint Mallorys

we paint the wall purple and go to joey's
house to see Mary ann hi Mary ann I say
and give her a big gigantic hug hey hey hey
she says Mallory and Mary ann say everything
three times Mary ann and Mallory and I walk
back over to Mallory house we go up to her
room and do a group hug we are going to have
a triple sleepover and it will be so fun we paint
our nails purple since purple is all of our
favorite
color then we head to the mall and get
matching purple pj that say bff on them
this is the beginning of our amazing
sleepover before we go to sleep we read
Mallory's diary and then doze of to sleep
actually we don't for the whole night we
chat we chat about this we chat about
that then we go to sleep but at like
1:00am and that's late the next day peanut
butter marshmallow pancakes i’ve always
wanted to have these I tell Mallory they
are my favorite she says then we see
Chloe jennifer hey Chloe jennifer this is

you might be wondering why Chloe
jennifer has two names i’ll explain why
you know how Mary ann is Mary ann not
mary or anne that's the same way at
that moment I get a phone call from
Nikita I’m at hogwarts squeeze then
Sophia calls and says she having a sleepover
with raina it sounds like they are having as
much fun as me at the end of the day we go
over to the wishpond I find a black pebble
and throw it into the pond and make a wish
I wish that I can three more wishes suddenly
I see three more black pebble stones I give
two to my friends and keep one with me this
is how the rest of the week went

Tuesday

We go over to the new girl who moves
in up the st who’s name is nancy fancy nancy 

Wednesday

We play video games at joeys me and Mallory
have a lot in common but I suck at video games 

Thursday

We make our own beauty salon just like in
business with Mallory page 75 its the best
but different Mallorys room is purple we
don't only do makeup , hair + nails we do
outfits of the week pamela goes home
looking perfectly purple she’s wearing
a purple hat with a purple flower she
has purple lipgloss her nails are purple
too she is wearing a purple top and blue
jeans with purple polka dots she walks
of we make 63 dollars 

Friday 

Friday we were all blue and I sure was
gonna miss all of them we say goodbye
and group hug
