Tūranga

Tūranga

Ki ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I did some research about the Tūranga Library. I hope you enjoy.
The Tūranga Library is a very sophisticated and aesthetic building. It is worth 92 million NZ dollars. After the earthquake this library is one of the most iconic buildings. The Tūranga Library is a 5 storey building. It is a fun place for the whole family. The building was first opened on 12 of October 2018 and has since become the cities living room. It has a large range of fun activities for children and adults of all ages. From video games to pop up books and much more. It has a cafe where adults can catch up and grab a cup of tea. There are also many spaces for quite studying so as the 5th and 4th floor. It is welcome to everyone.

Have you been to Tūranga? You really should visit! Comment down below on your past expriences.

Early Christchurch and Christchurch now

 Ki ora,

Today I was learning about Ōtautahi-Christchurch. The name Ōtautahi comes from the Moari cheif tuatahi. He owned a large amount of Ōtautahi coming from the Margret Mahy Playground stretching out a bit.  Today the area the tautahi owned is replaced with the Margret Mahy Playground which is a fun family playground known throughout New Zealand. The Playground was built after the Christchurch earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. The first settlers in Christchurch were the European Moa Hunters. They set forests on fire so they could use the Moas for food. Between 1500 and 1700 the North Island Moari came to Christchurch. By then the Moa hunters were all killed or left Christchurch.

Blogtastic Blogging!

Welcome again to my blog,

Today I will be showing you how to  be an awesome blogger! Its also got a lot of information about it including: How to make a good blog post, good blog comment and how to embed. To write a good blog post you need a catchy title to hook your readers to read your post. Next you need an introduction like this explaining what your post is about.  After that you need a body. The body includes your blog post. Usually it includes a DLO or maybe a picture. Last you need a conclusion. The conclusion wraps everything together. Everything about commenting and embedding. I hope you learn something from my post.

Postcard

 Kia ora,

This week I have been working on a Maori postcard. This postcard is about the Treaty of Waitangi.

I created a stamp and a letter that was supposed to be made in the 1840s. I really enjoyed creating my stamp. I found it a bit hard to trace around the New Zealand map.

I hope you enjoy this post.
